Adelphi University
On-Site Admissions Program
Thursday, November 7, 2024 (Silver Day)
(The application fee will be waived for participating students)
The admissions counselors would like to see students with:
- General GPA: B or 83% or 3.0 (out of 4.0) unweighted average (or higher)
- Nursing Majors GPA: B+ or 86% or 3.3 (out of 4.0) unweighted average (or higher)
- At least one biology or chemistry course (with a lab), strong math and science scores
- If students choose to submit their test scores:
- SAT:1090 (or higher) or ACT:21 (or higher)
- Optional writing/essay section is NOT required for either exam
For students who meet the criteria, the Common Application or Adelphi Application must be submitted online no later than a week prior to the event.
- The fee waiver code for the Common Application is ADELPHI (in all caps)
- We will waive the fee for students applying via the Adelphi Application after the event
The following documents must be submitted online no later than a week prior to the event (they can be emailed to hspartnerships@adelphi.edu )
- Official high school transcript
- Official SAT and/or ACT scores (if the student is applying with test scores)
- Counselor/high school account Naviance or College Board reports saved as PDFs can be accepted as official documents if sent directly from the high school
- One recommendation letter
- Essay
- Resume (not mandatory, but encouraged)
Please note, students who have the following credentials/interests may be unable to receive a decision at the event due to the need for additional review or requirements:
- International High School Records
- We will need official copies (in English) of international transcripts provided to your school upon admitting the student
- **Please include these documents when sending the above materials for students who may have completed international coursework**
- Art, Art Education, Dance, Music, Music Education, Theatre Majors
- Students who are interested in the above majors must complete an audition and/or portfolio review with specific department in order to be reviewed for an admissions decision
Uncleared Dismissal/Felony Responses
For students who do not meet the academic credentials or need additional review, we would be happy to collect their supplemental materials for further review and waive the application fee.

St. John’s University On-Site Admissions Day
Thursday, November 14, 2024 (Silver Day)
Students interested in participating must register at least 1 week prior to the onsite event using a unique link, which will be provided at sign up:
- To be eligible to participate in the St. John’s University On-Site Decision Day, students must meet the following academic criteria if they are applying with Standardized test scores:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 85
- Minimum standardized test scores:
- Minimum SAT Evidence Based Reading and Writing + Math score of 1070, including:
- Minimum SAT Math score of 500
- Minimum ACT Composite score of 23, including:
- Minimum ACT English score of 21
- Minimum ACT Math score of 21
- Minimum SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing score of 500
Students applying TEST OPTIONAL, must meet the following GPA criteria and submit the following documents:
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 85
- Students who are applying test optional MUST submit 1 personal essay, (the Common App essay can be used for this requirement, and 1 letter of recommendation.
- To receive an admission decision at the On-Site Decision day, eligible students must:
- SUBMIT AN ONLINE APPLICATION to St. John’s University at least one week prior to the On-Site Decision Day. Applications may be submitted via Common Application or the St. John’s University Application. Both are available online at stjohns.edu/apply
- All supporting documents MUST be submitted online using Naviance or Slate.org 5 days prior to the on-site day:
- An official high school transcript
- Standardized test scores for all test dates (SAT and/or ACT) (official scores if possible)
- We do not require a personal essay, letters of recommendation, or a resume, though they are encouraged
The following majors are NOT eligible to participate in the onsite decision:
- Bio-Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Pathway NYIT
- Bio-Optometry
- Biomedical Science applicants that are Test Optional
- Nursing applicants that are Test Optional
- Pharmacy
- Photography
Students who do not meet the criteria outlined above should be encouraged to apply to St. John’s University at stjohns.edu/apply. The information outlined above is relevant only to participation in the On-Site Decision Day and does not correlate with the University’s admission criteria. St. John’s believes in taking a holistic approach when considering students for admission to the university. Strength and rigor of the student’s curriculum, along with involvement in extracurricular activities will be taken into account for all applicants.

New York Institute of Technology On-Site Admissions Program
Tuesday, November 19, 2024 (Blue Day)
(The application fee will be waived for participating students)
Student Requirements
NYIT will be able to provide an immediate decision to all students who have:
A cumulative GPA of 80 or better for test-optional majors. Life Sciences, B.S. / Physician Assistant Studies, M.S. and Life Sciences, B.S./Occupational Therapy (M.S. or OTD) still require standardized test scores, but applicants are able to receive a decision for these programs during the on-site.
Students should submit their application at least a week prior to the on-site date. We provide an application fee waiver to all participants in the following way:
Common Application fee waiver code: Access the fee waiver code drop-down menu and choose “On-Site Admissions Day Fee Waiver”
All participants should have the following documents submitted prior to their on-site meeting:
● Fall 2024 Common App
● Official high school transcript
● SAT and/or ACT score(s) if required for major
● Two letters of recommendation
● College essay
Program Exclusions:
Students may submit their applications and meet with us during the on-site, however, due to academic department reviews, we will not be able to provide an immediate decision to students who would like to be considered for the following programs:
o Higher Education Opportunity Program (HEOP) – available at our NYC campus ONLY
o Combined Life Sciences B.S. / Physical Therapy D.P.T
o Combined Life Sciences B.S. / Osteopathic Medicine, D.O.
o B.F.A. in Graphic Design
o B.F.A. in Digital Art & Design
o Architecture, B.Arch

Nassau Community College On-Site Admissions PrograM
Friday, November 22, 2024 (Silver Day)
(The application fee will be waived for participating students)
SUBMIT AN ONLINE APPLICATION to Nassau Community College at least one week prior to the On-Site Decision Day. Applications may be submitted via the Nassau Community College Application Portal. Paper applications also accepted.
· Learn about the advisement and registration process, clubs, athletics, etc.
