Attendance Office

Attendance Procedures:

All students' absences must be called into the attendance office. DO NOT EMAIL IN ABSENCES.
All students arriving late should stop at the attendance office upon arrival.
Students leaving early need to obtain a pass from the attendance office.

The student's parent or guardian is expected to call the attendance office to report the absence and state the reason.  An absence note must also be submitted upon the student's return to school.  This note MUST contain the following:

  • date of absence

  • reason for absence

  • signature of parent/guardian

  • phone number where the note can be verified

Early Dismissal Procedures
Students are encouraged to make appointments after school, or on weekends whenever possible to avoid disrupting their instruction.  If this becomes impossible, a note requesting early dismissal must be submitted to the attendance office for verification prior to first period.  Students are expected to sign out in attendance when they leave the building.  If a student leaves school without permission, he/she will be subject to disciplinary action.  A student who becomes ill in school is to report to the Nurse’s office.  If a student is sent from a class, a pass is necessary.  No student who is sick may leave school without first reporting to the Nurse’s office.  If a student is too ill to remain in school, the nurse will contact the parent/or guardian or emergency contact.
