The National History Day (NHD) competition in the Long Island Region is an academic event where students from middle and high schools come together to showcase their historical research and critical thinking skills.

The district congratulates the cast and crew of the Herricks High School production of “Damn Yankees” who hit it out of the park with three grand slam performances from March 14-16.

At the March 13 meeting, the Herricks Board of Education recognized seven Herricks High School student athletes who had an exceptional winter season, earning championship trophies for Herricks in three competitive sports.
